Museum Programs

Robert Henri occasionally comes back to his boyhood home to say hello.
Regularly Scheduled Hours
From March 1 to December 15 the museum is open from 10:00 am to 5:00 pm. There are four ways to experience the museum. First, visitors can watch a 30-minute video telling about the life of Robert Henri, or they can see our two exhibits: Robert Henri: From the 100th Meridian to International Fame and From Cozad to State Prison: The Colorful Character of Miles Maryott. Visitors can also do a self-guided or guided tour of the museum and a guided tour of the art gallery where the exhibit Painter, Teacher and Pioneer is featured. Many of those traveling on Interstate Route 80 usually just do the tour of the gallery because of time constraints. No matter, we will accommodate our visitors as best as possible.
Artists of the Month and Artists in Residence
The museum sponsors two programs annually to promote the work of regional artists. The Artist of the Month program begins in May and goes through to September and presents the work of an artist for a month to the visiting public including a reception. The museum is also host to two Artists in Residence annually and those artists stay in the Cozad area for two weeks and provide demonstrations and create new work which is sold in the museum's gift shop and to visitors. A reception is held for each of them.
